I went to my 41 week checkup on Thursday dr admitted me to l&d because fluid was low around baby girl. 4 pm I was given cevidral to thin out cervix, 5 am 2/12/16 they started me on pitocin to kick start constractions...my body, according to dr, was super sensitive to pitocin because constractions came on strong and steady but I wasn't dilating. They stopped the pitocin at 3 pm and started me on servital at 7 pm to thin lining more...got morphine to help me sleep around 8 pm. Around midnight dr stopped the servital and started pitocin again. I was given an epidural around 2:30 am 2/13/16. Stopped the horrific back contractions I was getting every 2-3 minutes with no change on dilation. At 9 am I had dilated to 3 cm, by 10 am the dr checked and I was 4 cm dilated so she ruptured my membrane. By 11:15 I had dilated to 9 1/2 cm. By noon I was fully dilated and the pushing began. She made her debut at 1:03 pm. Weighing 7 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches long.

I'm grateful for a healthy baby and such a speedy recovery. Ladies I'm such a cry baby if I can do it anyone of you can do it. wohhhoooo

my birth story 🤗 Saturday I was asked to come into labor and delivery to do a 4 hour blood pressure monitor because of the elevated protine in my urine. made it 30 minutes and was admitted. they started the induction process around 12pm with cirvidil, by 11pm I was 1cm and 50% effaced do they started pitocin. by morning I hadn't progressed at all so my pitocin was turned off and I was put back on cirvidil. almost 36 hours into the process and I dilated to 2.5 and the dr put in a Foley ball. and let me tell you! contractions got insane and in 45 mins I was at 6cm. I got my epidural, pumped up the pitocin and played the waiting game. in about 7 hours I was 9.5 and 100% thinned. the nurse called the dr and said I'd be delivering in about 30 mins, I had 2 more contractions and told her the baby was coming now. she frantically ran around getting my bed ready and trying to get my dr on the floor. I did 3 test pushes and was told to stop so the dr could get her scrubs on. 1 contraction later and my baby was born 😄 the room was prepped for delivery at 2:27 and I delivered at 2:34 am January 23, 2017 was the best day of my life
