9 days until my due date. I wake up to get ready for work as usual. Walk into the bathroom (well waddle in there) and get sick out of nowhere. After recovering from that, I realized my face felt weird. My face and neck were swollen to about three times their normal size! It was hard to make a sound my neck was so swollen. I called L&D and was, of course, advised to come in for some monitoring for preeclampsia. So I called off work, calls my sister to see if she can come watch the kids, and headed off to the hospital.
