Team Yellow?? Should we?!
Team Yellow?? Should we?!
Hey all! I'm currently expecting baby #3. We have a son and a daughter already. I was SO excited to find out the sex of each of my children. However, this time around my SO and I have been discussing having it be a surprise since we still have all our baby stuff from both of our children.

I hate the colour yellow so I was team brown haha!! It was so awesome not knowing! I only had an urge to find out when we got a 3D ultrasound. It made it easier to go through labor because it was like waiting to open that HUGE birthday present when your 5 lol. It was fun to find baby names. It was nice to not have to share those names if you don't want. It was just super fun and when and if we have more babies we won't find out the gender again!

We didn't find out with our second. It was fun! We didn't want to with our third but the tech slipped and said something.

Im in the same boat! We have a daughter and a son. I'll be 19 weeks Friday and my ultrasound is at 20 weeks. I hope the tech doesn't slip and say something this is most likely our last baby!

I asked DH and he said no. :-(

I didn't find out. It was interesting listening to people's theories on what I was having based on the usual old wives tales. It didn't bother me not to know probably saved me $ in the long wrong bc I wasn't constantly buying things for my baby which doesn't really apply in your situation. We had names for both sexes that we kept to ourselves. I will say I soured on the girl's name so I thought I was having a boy which I did.

Make it a game with all family and friends! Take bets (maybe not real money but for bragging rights) and do fun gender guessing games throughout.

I didn't find out with my second. I used to think it would be so hard but it wasn't at all. I thought for sure I was having another boy, referred to the baby as he and had everyone else convinced it was a boy because I was so certain. I was wrong! I was so shocked when they said it was a girl and then so excited to let everyone know. It was so much fun having people guess and to have them just as excited as us for the birth to find out the gender. I definitely suggest doing it. I don't regret it and if I ever had more kids I would do it again, although my tubes are tied so no more.

We're expecting our third surprise baby. We also already have a girl and a boy. I just love imagining and wondering who this little person will be, what they will look like, what their interests will be. And I love the big announcement once baby is here. It's just so much fun.
It's funny looking back on my last 2 deliveries. Once baby comes out, the gender is the last thing on my mind. I'm just so busy looking at them. Finally seeing their face and feeling their tiny squishy body. Gender always feels like an afterthought. :P

We didn't find out and it was awesome! I actually felt like it help me bond a little more with her as well. I gave her a cute little nickname and regardless of boy or girl, "it" was just my little person. It was pretty cool too because dh was the one to say "it's a girl" when I delivered. Although I already knew from some strong momma instincts ;)
I think we'll choose not to find out again in the future or have the tech write it for us and do a cool little gender reveal amongst ourselves and not tell anyone! Lol

We also had 1 son and 1 daughter. We decided not to find out the gender for our 3rd baby.
It actually wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be.
I'm not a big fan of gender neutral items, so we bought some things that were for boys and some items that were for girls. We kept all receipts. Staple them to the rage of the clothes. Once DD2 was born, we returns the boy items.
DH was the first to see & announce baby's gender, per our request.
I would absolutely leave the gender a surprise again. We loved saving that for baby's actual birth day.
