Tomorrow one of my best friends is getting married. I'm not going to the wedding because I'm not allowed to take my SO with me. We've been together for nearly 6 years, have 2 children, and are a package deal. If he's not welcome, then I don't feel welcome.

You're not overreacting, I would be upset as well and I definitely wouldn't be going if my DH wasn't invited.
I'm sorry though, I know it must be hard on you. Maybe go out and do something fun with your SO and kids so that you're not at home feeling sad all day.

Thanks ladies. My SO knows I'm upset about it and blames himself. He told me to go without him but there's no way I could do that. Not to something like a wedding, especially. He said he has a surprise for me, something he's been working on for a while, so now I have something to look forward to!
