While missing my dad, my son cheered me up.

So my dads birthday was a few days ago. I was feeling pretty down because its almost three years since he unexpectedly passed. I always wish my son could have met him. Last night I was looking at old pictures of us and my 2 yr old came to join me. He pointed to great grandma ( calls her grandma), I said "wheres mommy?" which he pointed to me and said mummy. Then I pointed at my father and asked "whos this? " I previously referred to him as grandpa in other pictures so if anything I was expecting that. Instead he said " Thats Pop-pa. I asked again thinking it was a fluke with other pictures and he kept repeating pop pop. Its strange because hes never heard that word before , and my father used to refer to his grandfather as Pop. It makes me so happy to think of the possibility that my dad is still with us.

Am I wrong to be upset? Last night I was running a fever, weak, tired, sore, my left boob feels like it got used as a punching bag. I asked my husband to call out of work today to help me with the kid so I could get some rest. He went to work. I texted him this morning. Part of me thinks I mean. The other part of me thinks I was fine for saying that because he should've stayed home with us.

ekko I see both sides. However, if you both work and him taking off one day isn’t going
2sweetie I’ve never asked my husband to take a day off when I’m sick. I just deal with
boymama523 He gets the choice to call off if he’s overwhelmed or sick. You (all us mommas) don’t.
