Does anyone know how bad is it to live in a house thats not deleaded? I have 2 month old. It is my moms second floor and the rent would be cheaper than other places but Idk if this lead thing is a deal breaker.
It has been painted since the 70's and I would be repainting it to freshen it up. Do you think having the old wooden window sills replaced would be going to far? Someone mentioned this but im concerned of lead dust.should I just paint over the chipped paint? I think im being overly paranoid about the whole thing, I know everything was lead years ago.

Make sure there's no chipping paint anywhere, maybe put a fresh coat on just in case.and then make sure the baby doesn't eat any paint that chips off in the future and you should be fine

Has it been painted since the 70's? If so then its sealed in and can't harm you. Just about every home built back them had lead paint. I live in an older home. I've never heard of deleading...
