Silverside is a cut of beef (you might not have that term in your country)
that has been salted (corned) and is boilded in water for a couple of hours untill it starts to fall apart..its pretty salty but if cooked well is very nice...usually served with a white sauce/gravy

I'm glad you mentioned gravy, was about to ask where the sauce was at! Can't have silverside without sauce!

My partner was mixing it while i made it. But yes your right, you cant have silverside without sauce
