is it normal?
My almost 10 month old just threw a massive fit. Kicking and screaming because i wouldnt let him kick me and then took away his treat because he kept kicking me. Like arching his back kicking and flailing and screaming kindof fit. Ive never seen him do that.

Yes my 10 month old has learned the art of tantrums as well. I had no idea they could even start that young, I don't remember my first dd going through this lol. My little one will kick, slap, scream and throw her body backwards if she doesn't get her way lol. I can't do anything but laugh though because she's just so tiny and her 3 little teeth crack me up when she's screaming ??

Im with mona? What am i supposed to do when he throws a tantrum. He wouldnt understand a spank or time out or getting something taken away yet? He understands no but he doesnt care about no when hes throwing a fit? How do i start teaching him? Also hes been kicking me. I dont know what to do besides tell him no.

Don't give in to what he wants and make sure he is safe where he is at when throwing his fit. I would lay mine down and let her go to town. Once she started to calm down I would get her

Ignore the tantrum and when he does something to hurt you, either set him down and walk away for a moment or you can go "ow! That's not nice and it hurts. Feet are for walking/hands are for touching nicely/teeth are for chewing".

Up to two years old you can respond to tantrums with a distraction. It doesn't always work for my DS but it usually at least lessens the time he spends freaking out.
Once a child hits two years old you're better off letting them have their fit as long as it may be, waiting for them to calm down and then have a talk with them.

Hold them tight. And by tht I just mean don't let them flop all over, hit, kick, etc. sumx it takes along long time of holding them still Bt they learn to give in and a tantrum is unacceptable behavior even if they are quite little. Jus ignoring them wil teach them it's ok to get mad when they don't get their way! And you wil only have more tantrums. Good luck!!
