I was on Zoloft but the side effects were terrible for me so my ob gave me Wellbutrin Sr. It has the least amount of side effects and it changed my life!

I just want to make sure my baby is safe. Idk if it was a one in a million thing but my mom took zoloft and my brother was born with small lungs. I don't want my baby to have problems and Ivery read up on it and a lot of women sas it's fine. And there's the rare few who had issues. I'm just afraid to be one of those few. I don't want to be the reason my baby has issues. I guess I'm freaking myself out. I want what's best for my baby. But I know me being so depressed and stressed isn't good for the baby either so its a hard decision.

I was on this a few other things and had 3 (early, like 6-9 weeks) miscarriages. I went off everything cold turkey (not good, don't do that) and got pregnant shortly after. It is known to be safe, but I feel it had some sort of hand in me having trouble. I will say if you need it, you need it! Tell your dr you are nervous and maybe there's something else you can do?

There is a class action currently over antidepressants. They have supposedly found that antidepressants are linked to some congenital heart defects.

I'm personally not entirely sure. My daughter was born with a severe Congenital Heart Defect, and I didn't take any medications. Except for my prenatal vitamins. But I've been reading medical journals and such about her defect trying to find theories as to what can cause it since her medical team themselves have no knowledge as to how or why it's caused.

Yea it's safe. I started it right before I got pregnant with my son and towards the end of my pregnancy I had to up it but he cane out fine and I'm breastfeeding. I'm on 100 mg but I'd started at 50 as well

Thanks guys I'm just really scared I will hurt my baby. I'm so afraid to take it. My mom took it and my brother had a few small complications. Like underdeveloped lungs and sleep apnea. I know they weren't bad but I jusy couldn't imagine putting my baby through even a little complication.

I didn't like Zoloft. It made me feel like a zombie. I was on it when I first found out I was pregnant and my levels were low and weren't rising like they should. I took myself off of it and now my baby is measuring ahead of schedule. I don't know if it contributed to my levels, but that seemed to be the only change before my pregnancy started running smoothly.

If you feel you need it, take it. Studies have shown that it is safe. I just didn't feel I needed it anymore, because for me the bad side effects were outweighing the good it was doing. But it works differently for each person.
