My worst nightmere. I was driving and the woman wasn't paying attention and went through a stop sign and I couldn't stop in time and hit her. My baby boy was in the truck with me and she came out on his side. I was scared to death. I knew I was going to hit her and at that point all I could do was wait watch. I looked at my baby as we hit and luckily I have a great carseat because he just jerk ed forward a little and then cried for a few seconds until he saw me in buckling him from his carseat. The was smoke inside the truck and I got out and I checked his eyes and looked for signs of a concussion and made sure he was ok and then I bawled. I was so scared for my baby. And I'm pregnant. So after i made sure he was ok I went straight to the hospital and had them check us out. My truck is done for. I have to buy a new car. Then they had to scare me by throwing out words like Cat scans and ultrasounds and blood tests. Everything turned out fine. I was so scared because I was cramping really bad that something was wrong with my unborn child.

People not paying attention while driving is becoming a very serious issue. Yes, everybody's lives are busy. Yes, we all have somewhere to be. But put the damn phone, makeup, toothbrush, newspaper, pizza, etc. down and f*** ing pay attention. Ugh sorry for the mini rant. But I'm glad everyone is safe and okay. I'm sorry about your truck.

Yeah I'm really upset. I relied on that vehicle to get me around. So I'm kind of screwed in that part till I can get the money to buy another vehicle

No my husband didn't listen to me and didn't pay the insurance last paycheck. So even though she's at fault. I'm screwed.

One missed payment won't cancel your insurance. Plus, if she's at fault - her insurance should be paying regardless.

Well we have chappy insurance. We can't afford good insurance so we have the cheapest we could get. And we were already late when this last paycheck came so because he didn't pay it we were really late and they dropped us. And I hope her insurance pays it

I didn't have insurance once. I spaced paying it. I went without for three days. when I got into a car accident. Just call the other drivers car insurance they should pay for everything. With the police report saying it was her fault.

Yeah I don't have her insurance information. Will that be in the police report. Her name will be on that right. Because I didn't think to get her name and insurance

Glad you're ok. Remember you need a new car seat too so make sure that goes through her insurance too!
You definitely need to get insurance though.

The police report will have all her information. We got a print out with all the info on it. I would call the police station and see if they can help you get the info you need. And like others have said don't use your car seat again. You will need to replace it before your child goes in a car again.

Because my husband and are are not living together. And it's his truck. So I have no clue as to if he's actually paying it when I tell him to.

If it's her fault, your insurance isn't even needed! I had a car crashed into mine when it was parked overnight and their insurance paid for everything, including a rental car! Hope it works out for you!
