I have one on my ribs and won't my first pregnancy it didn't stretch at all. I still used bio oil and the palmers stretch mark cream everyday and got a few stretch marks on my hips but my tattoo has overall kept its shape. This time I'm almost 27 weeks with my second and the same thing is happening. I'd keep using the bio oil but also apply palmers stretch mark lotion and drink lots of water :) hope that helps you out!
I have my rib cage and part of my stomach done. My tattoo artist says as long as a drink enough water and lubricant my ink then it should be fine. Yes, it will stretch with your tummy but he said the body is amazing and it should go back to normal.
I use coconut oil and on other occasions olive oil. I find the olive oil absorbs faster.
Almond oil, my tattoo went back to the way it was originally. Although I have noticed it faded during my last pregnancy but I actually like it better now because too much ink stuck on colors that were supposed to be turquoise and a softer pink and they were just too dark, the turquoise looked nearly black and now looks turquoise. My skin just held the ink a lot more than other peoples had.
