how to phase out bottles?
Audrey LOVES her bottles. She will whine and fuss until she gets one. I'm starting to worry about how to take them away. She will not drink formula in a sippy cup and she just started drinking a few sips of whole milk from it. (We made the mistake of only giving water in sippy cups so that's all she'll drink out of them) how do I go about getting rid of the bottles?
My first hated sippies. We started offering them at age 1 and she wanted nothing to do with them after trying like 10 different kinds. I just figured maybe she's not ready and tried again when she was about 14 months. Still nothing. The only thing that worked was to only put water in the bottle and put milk in the sippy. The first two days were hell but it worked. I've heard of even more stubborn babies that would even choose the water in the bottle over milk in the sippee. With those people I know, the had to just make a cold turkey switch. But I'd try a few different kinds first, thats all it takes for some babies.
That's interesting about switching the water and milk. May have to try that. She takes sippy cups great if they have water in them!
