I have not, but I am also nervous this go around. If you are concerned, I would definitely ask your doctor about an early glucose test! Good luck!

I had it with my son diagnosed at 28 weeks so this time around I have two glucose tests one at 15 weeks which came back fine then the normal one at 28 weeks. Fingers crossed I don’t have it again ?

I had it with my last pregnancy. My day numbers were normal but my fasting numbers were so bad I had to have insulin and that couldn't even control it. Had a fasting blood test done at 12 weeks which came back normal but I think that was just because the placenta hasn't kicked in yet. Have another test at 28 weeks but I think that'll come back with GD

Maybe mention something at your next appt. they usually can do earlier appts with probable cause. I had it with my first and I’m 99% positive I’ll have it with this one. When I had a sugar attack it almost felt like a a heat stoke, I would get really sweaty, dizzy, and disoriented.

I did. I also developed a huge amount of amniotic fluid because of it, so naturally I was scared to get it again this pregnancy. I started tracking my blood sugar from very on and it was elevated. I called my doctor and he sent me for a glucose test, which ended up coming back completely fine. As it turned out, my monitor was out of whack and recording numbers sometimes 50 points too high. Long story short, I am still a little paranoid about it, so I went on amazon to buy another meter and it was only $18. If your doctor won't send you for a test or you are still concerned, consider buying a meter and some test strips on amazon. All together, the meter and test strips should run you less than $40 and might give you a little bit of peace of mind. If you test every once in a while after you eat a lot of carbs, you might have an idea whether or not GD might be creeping up. Good luck!! By the way, I have a OneTouchVerio.

Thank you ladies, I will be calling the doctor on Monday and requesting a test as I'm pretty sure I have GD :(

I had it with my daughter. Inwas tested with this one at 11 (1 hour) weeks and 13 (3 hour) weeks. I failed my 1 hour but passed my 3 hour. I still feel sick when I eat sugar or a lot of carbs so I'm sure I'll develop it later in the pregnancy.

It helps to up your protien, drinks lot of water, and walk after meals to offset your carbs. Also read labels.. there is carbs in EVERY THING! So just try to make better choices in that area :)

You're welcome! Carbs turn into sugar is it's really both that you should try to limit. When you do eat them, make them count! Go for brown rice, breads, and pasta since they are healthier :)

I was with my first, started testing and controlling early on with my second, and not sure yet about this time around.

With my first I would get nauseous and throw up anytime my blood sugar was high. I got tested at 26 weeks, and failed the 3 hours test at 28 weeks as I threw up and my blood pressure dropped 15 minutes after drinking the glucola.

I skipped testing the second time around and preferred to just poke myself four times a day and control my diet and exercise.

This time around I might start testing at 20 weeks. But my doctor already put in an order if I want to take the test earlier.

If you aren't feeling well and you are wondering, you should definitely ask your provider. They can test you at any stage of your pregnancy.
