No ultrasound until 13 weeks?
I had an ultrasound because I went to the ER for cramps at 6 weeks and they found a subchorionic bleed. Now I'm going on 9 weeks and had my first prenatal appointment yesterday. They didn't do an exam or an ultrasound didn't even look at me just took some blood work. They scheduled an u/s for me on the 16th of this month and then called me back and told me they pushed my u/s back until the 24th. I still don't even know if the bleed has grown or shrunk, if my baby is growing still if they still have a heartbeat. And now I have to wait until I'm 13 weeks pregnant to find out. Does this sound right to anyone???

I would call back and have them reschedule it back to an earlier date. I just went to the ER for that same reasoning and they told me they have to check me a week from Monday to see if it shrunk. I wouldn't really wait if I were you. Best luck for you ?

Terrible, I'd call my doctor and express my concerns with their decision to push back.
I wonder if your " insurance " has anything to do with anything. The reason i say this is BC when i went to schedule an appt i was told ( my State ) that my doctors only took two patients a month with my type of insurance. First i ever heard of this...

Sorry to hear that these dr office don't give a crap about us. I would call them back to explain the situation to see if they would reschedule or I would go back to the ER.

I'll be ten weeks my first appointment and I'm sure my first us will be around then also. It's by choice but I'm deff ready. My dr bases for date on how baby measures in us so deff interested to see how much my due date changes

Honestly if you're concerned they should see you sooner.
My doctor normally wouldn't see me again for two weeks but at my first appointment she said "you're not going to make two weeks, schedule it for a little over a week"
Just meaning I would be a nervous wreck between now and then.
I've had two missed miscarriages around 8.5 weeks and I also have the subchorionic Hemorrhage.
They need to be sensitive to your concerns.
I would probably find another doctor.

I'm surprised they pushed it back that far with a hemorrhage. I had one a couple weeks ago and they did my follow up ultrasound one week later. It was already gone thank god. I had one with my son as well. It kept getting bigger and I was on bedrest until he was born. But that's very uncommon. They usually resolve themselves pretty quickly.

I also have or had a sch but my doc put me on 4 weeks pelvic rest and my ultrasound for the end of that 4 week mark too. I will be 10 weeks 4 days when I go. I am 10 weeks today but these 4 weeks have been the slowest 4 weeks ever

Thank you everyone for your responses! I have an ultrasound on the 9th with another doctor so hoping for some good news! I hope this doctor is better than the last 2 they were no help whatsoever
