I'm 15weeks and have no desire to tell my husbands family. When I was pregnant with our daughter they made me feel horrible and I know this time isn't gonna be different. So we're in no hurry even though we know we have to tell soon.

Send a cute announcement to her in the mail. Like a framed ultrasound pic saying 'I love grandma' or send her a bouquet of flowers with a card that says 'I can't wait to meet you grandma, love baby (last name).' If you wait until you know the sex make the flowers pink or blue/green accordingly. Then announce once she receives them. It will give her a moment of processing time before talking to you, will take the pressure off of you, and it's still thoughtful enough to not be looked down on as her not being important.

I'd still tell her before making it public. Just out of respect for her. Don't expect a big reaction, but just let her feel special for being one of the firsts to know :)

I don't think there's anything wrong with putting that on social media. You're trying to share this exciting information with your loved ones and friends. You're happy and excited. Go for it girl! :)

It's your pregnancy! This is your joyful moment. Just enjoy this with your husband, if she isn't happy that's her loss.
