Devastated
So I’m clear to go back to work and my starting date will be tomorrow. I am so emotional , the attachment that I have for my daughter is unreal and I wish I didn’t have to go back to work but bills have to be pay and if mama don’t work she won’t be feed or have anything so I guess I will say that I will work for her and only her but how can I leave my baby home for 8 hours ?? my heart is breaking I didn’t know I was gonna get this attach to her and that it was gonna be this hard to go back to work ?

You poor thing hun!! I couldn't imagine having to go back to work now, I'd be a wreck too!
I've got 11 months paid leave, it's half pay so things will be tight but it's money (I'm in Australia) I don't have to go back to work until January but I am already feeling anxiety over leaving him then.
I definitely feel for you hun. At least at the end of the day there is nothing that will make you or your daughter feel better than seeing you. Are you putting her in daycare or do you have family watching her?
Keep your head up mama, as you said you're working for her and in the long run you will be able to provide her with everything she needs and a few wants.
Thinking of you xx

@chloeyy92 the anxiety I have is unreal ? she is going to be 7 weeks tomorrow she still tiny how can they do this to mothers ?? we live in New Jersey (America) ando only got 6 weeks paid if I want to stay home I can apply for something else but it will be unpay ? I wish I was in Australia for sure I want to stay with my baby as much as I can . Her father is gonna watch her while I go to work but I’m still heartbroken ? all she wants is her mama and all I want is my baby with me ??ugh

Oh hun I wish I could give you a big hug!
I'm so thankful that I am in Australia. I can't believe how uncaring America is when it comes to mothers. That's so unfair and you're forced into it so you can live and provide a life. My heart goes out to you!
At least with you husband being home, you can take comfort in knowing she is with someone who loves her and you aren't just having to put her in daycare. I know it won't take any anxiety or worry away right now but hopefully it will.
I'll also send some mothers fairness dust your way and hopefully your government changes their laws around this soon. X

I go back in mid April and am not looking forward to it either, thankfully my dad will be watching her. I took the 12 weeks even though the last 6 are unpaid. Not sure why America is one of the countries with the worse medical leave. This stinks. Sending hugs your way!?

My heart goes out to you Hun. I couldn't imagine going back to work just now while my baby girl is still tiny. She'll be 8 weeks on Friday. I'm off until October (paid) but I'm in the UK and things are definitely different here to what they are in America. I strongly believe all mothers should be able to stay off work with pay for at least 9 months xx

I went back to work when my baby boy was 3 weeks and I promise it will be ok kind of hard the first few days or week but it'll get better.
