How was labor for you moms ? Did you guys deliver before the 39weeks mark or you guys had to be induce at 39weeks ? If you did how was the experience ? I'm a FTM with type 1 diabetes doctor told me I would be induce at 39weeks if she doesn't come early I'm currently 36 weeks and 6 days and I want to hear from other moms how was the experience of being induce or just the progress of labor .

I've had gestational diabetes with 2 pregnancies and was induced both times. The first time i was induced at 39 weeks and it took some time to get labor to progress. I had cervadil overnight and then pitocin and then cervadil overnight again and then pitocin and then a Foley balloon. Then i was actually in labor.
The second time i was induced at 38 weeks 4 days. I had cervadil overnight and then pitocin and then cervadil overnight again and then pitocin. Then i was dilated enough for them to break my water and that put me into active labor.
But how your induction goes depends on how ready your body is. If your cervix is soft and thin and you're already starting to dilate then you'll have a much faster induction. There are lots of stories on here from people that get pitocin for a few hours and go into active labor easily.

I went into labor on my own at 38 weeks. Besides the back labor which was awful i didnt have any complications. I had contractions for about 4 hours and pushed for 30 minutes and i delivered my son vaginally and unmedicated.
