Engorgement baby sleeping longer

It's all about supply and demand so when baby starts sleeping longer stretches your body will adjust.

Clogged ducts usually come before mastitis so watch for that. I had clogged ducts a half dozen times or so and never got mastitis fortunately.

Makes all the difference in the world when there is no pain.

My lo is sleeping usually around 7 or 8 hours at night now (she's 3 months). I pump usually around an hour or two before she wakes & have no problem with over supply. You might not be getting a lot when you pump because of the size of the flanges. I had to switch to the smallest size & now I get about 5 oz in only 10 minutes of pumping.

It makes the world of difference in engorgment at night

Thank you :) my baby just woke up after 4and a half hours ?? yay for sleeping! My breasts were so engorged. She empty them both.... I'm gonna be watching for clogged ducts. I don't wanna have mastitis.

Maybe I have to buy another flange... cause I can't pump more than 1oz in 10 min

Do not pump yet for temporary relief as it will cause over supply and makes u keep pumping . Just be patient ur supply will regulate after 3 months and it gets better even before that ,just keep nursing .

5 min is ok but u just wont get much milk
