My lo used to make noises when going back in her basket, I now sit her up for 15-20 mins after eating at night and seems to help her. I spend more time awake holding her up than she does feeding but allows me to sleep better when she goes down. Don't know what to say about the only taking from one dude though. I become so full at night my lo only half empties a breast it feels like before going back to sleep, at exploding point by morning xx
Infant sleep truly is a mystery. No one knows why they don't sleep the way we want them to.
Get you so to take the baby so you can nap. Get a family member to come over, or someone you trust，to watch the baby so you can sleep.
This to shall pass.
As for baby sleeping this is also just a phase. Last a couple weeks. To keep him awake tickle feet. Talk to him. Strip him down to his diaper. Cool washcloth on his cheeks. Change him.
Have you considered pumping? And bottle feeding? My LO was in the NICU, so I was forced to pump. But as we went home, I can pump like crazy, and feed her how ever much she needs or wants and we both sleep together. I pump while feeding her, weird I know. Lol she will eat from the breast also when needed
Idk what to do :( my nipples are killing me today. With her feeding every 1-2 hours at night I have a tear or crease idk what it is cause I can't upload the picture here. I don't have any bleeding, but it's killing me. ??? literally I haven't slept whole day and I'm lying in bed crying.... ?? i feel miserable and like a failure!!! Why is it so hard!!!! How can I heal :(
Is it red and warm? Very tender? Any puss coming out? May be infected.
Do you have nipple cream?
I'm so proud of you, mama! You are giving this your all and I know it's hard. It's so damn hard and no one tells you it's hard and you think it shouldn't be hard and you think everyone else did this easily and what are you doing wrong.

Can you pump and get someone to give a bottle so you can get a nap and a good meal? It will do you a world of good.
She's latching and unlatching in the night most likely because you are fuller and your milk is spraying when she tries to latch. Totally normal mama. Everything you said about your baby is completely normal. And the whole "only nursing from one side" thing is not an issue--- it's the goal of a breastfeeding mama!! It means she's getting enough from one feeding. You NEVER have to double feed, that's a common error made by new breastfeeders. If you are that concerned that she's hungry, change her diaper after you feed her and then put her back on the breast. She will eat a second letdown and sleep longer most likely. The noises in the night is totally normal, sounds like you're just a bit overtired and nervous.
If your nipples are hurting, she probably is having some type of a latching issue. Line her up to your nipple, nose to nipple, her belly to your other breast, pinch your areola between your first and middle finger and tickle her bottom lip with your nipple. Skip the first couple times she opens her mouth for it, wait for that BIG yawny opening and pull her on. It may take ten or twenty tries each feeding until she latches correctly. Air your breasts between feedings and use lanolin to soothe your pain.
Thank you everyone for your words! They really give me hope. I don't wanna quit!! I have tons and tons of milk, I just touch my nipples and there's mink coming out like crazy. I wanna enjoy that special bond that all f you talk about. I need to make sure about her position and heal my nipples. I know I can do it. I will try to find time to sleep. But she is my priority.

When my nipples were infected I got super creative with changing positions because it almost didn't hurt when she was in a different position.
I would lay her on the bed and than squat over her so my boob was kind of dangling.
I also posted in another forum just today different positions and you can check it out in my posts. Inverted side lying I think it was called.
It changes the pressure of the baby's suck making it more tolerable.

They make grunting noise haha I used to be worried why my lo is naking constandmt grunting noise . He stopped it after 8 weeks
