What is not necessary to by for baby!

A bouncer never had one. A good carrier would be helpful, swing. But I think a bouncer isn't necessary.

A wipe warmer, a diaper pail. When I was a FTM i found that a bouncer was useful, I would put my baby in there and be able to clean the whole house.

White noise machine.

Humidifier.

Wipe warmer I only used for a month so I'm sure you could survive without one.

I disagree on diaper pail. But you could use any trash bin for just diapers.

I've asked this same thing so many times. What you think is necessary others won't and vise Versa. You will just have to go off what works for you by trial and error. Register for whatever you want.

Agree with Massey. Everything on the lists above I actually found very helpful. To each their own. I'd keep the questionable ones off the list and then you can decide if you need them after baby is here. That's why it's nice to have a few gift cards.

I disagree on the bouncer. I had a bouncer and a swing and both were used daily! Totally lifesavers.

Diaper pail not totally needed. Baby bath not really needed. Or those hooded towels - just buy a few super nice towels xx

If you're nursing, a good glider or comfortable rocking chair, boppy pillow, I think diaper Pails are a waste..throw the diapers straight outside, we survived without a wipe warmer as well. We used a pack and play a ton..took it every time we went to someone's house, especially when baby gets older.

I'm pregnant with my 3rd so I'll tell you the things that I'm actually buying. An infant to toddler rocker. (I simply prefer these over bouncers.)I'm planning to buy a portable swing that plugs into the wall (saves space and batteries!) Instead of buying a bassinet I'm making my own with a laundry basket. Besides clothes and nb diapers this is pretty much all I find necessary. Also while sleepers are adorable those little nightgowns are so much easier to deal with in the middle of the night.

I don't bother with a bath or change table. I don't have the room & can do without them.

Each baby will have different preferences. I didn't have a bouncer, but I got a swing and that saved me on rough days. No swing this time but I'm hoping a mamaroo will do. If not hubby is getting a swing and bouncer to see which one baby likes.

I disagree with diaper pail and bouncer. I have a diaper pail and it kept the stink in but at the beginning I used garbage bags and I'd have to take it out so often because it smelt. I had a bouncer and was able to do things without holding baby.

Wipe Warmer I found was not needed and a change table lol I changed her wherever I was.

For us: Wipe warmer, bottle warmer(though we may get one to warm Frozen breastmilk this time), diaper pail, anything fancy like the fancy bouncers. Shoes before age 12 mths though the little slip on shoes are cute.

What I bought and didn't use for my first was, diaper genie ( I threw it away and just bought a regular trash can with a lid.), wipe warmer ( I live in Florida so my wipes never got to cold and when we went out his wipes where cold and he wasn't use to that because and home they where warm), bumbo seat, changing table for at home ( I like to just change baby where ever walking across the house every 20 minutes when my newborn pooped got old fast), bassinet (he hated it).
