My doctor said she is doing it next appointment and said it's a topical swabbing. Hmm

You guys are troopers. No way on the gbs swab. I happy it's over. As far as getting checked Pp hopefully next week you get checked, it's good to know.

I had my 36 week check today too! Didn't feel a thing with the gbs, just a quick swab.. She also didn't check my cervix.. Just checked my baby's heartbeat..

I didn't feel a thing when I had mine yesterday. The cervical check on the other hand left me feeling a little violated. Lol my uterus is tilted and do my cervix tends to be high.

Felt like I had too much sex. Well it's been a while so I guess that's what it was.

But I'm feeling OK today.

It's not exactly like a pap. They swab a little around the opening and than around your bottom part... The difference this time is that she tried to stick the qtip a little in my bottom part. That hurts like hell to me but all doctors are different on how they do it so it may not be bad at all for you. She said I did good when she checked me but checking me isn't that bad to me because ive had to check myself a lot. It's not bad, sorry if I frightened you lol sorry.

Uh oh my gbs test is next week. Does she go in like a pap smear or is it a quick swab? Why does it hurt? :(

I had mine yesterday and I thought the same thing! With my first son I didn't even notice them do it but yesterday I sure did!
