As far as I can remember I've always had issues with getting UTI's after sex. I was given medication years ago and in August when I had my IUD taken out my doctor changed it to a "safe" antibiotic for TTC. I have to take it right after my husband and I BD and if I forget I will get a UTI exactly two days later. My new medication she put me on is called nitrofurantoin macrocrystal. Have any of you ladies taken this or something similar while TTC? I don't know a single person who has this bad of issues with UTI's every frickin time, no matter what we do. I've been to four different doctors over the years and have had countless tests done and they tell me everything is "normal" ? gah! Sometimes I wonder why me. I just hope this won't interfere with TTC.

if your doctor says it is safe then I would hope she knows what she's talking about! but I will do some googling on it which can sometimes lead down a weird path but it's worth it to look it up. I would get UTIs a lot after sex so i made sure i showered before we were intimate , and wash myself well after and go pee before and after !! that is so important ✨?good luck

Thanks Ashley! I google things time to time but it seems to get me more worked up than anything. From what I do know about this medicine is that it is not safe to take later during pregnancies. Hopefully once I get my BFP my doctor will have something else for me to take or hubby and I won't be having sex ?
