I havent decided yet if im going back or not. My bf would rather me stay home but im considering a part time work week instead. idk how my job would work my salary in? If i do go back im looking into the nanny/baby sitter route instead of daycare. At least for the first couple years.

I worked full time M-F 8-5 when I was pregnant with my daughter. The second we found out I was pregnant we decided I'd stay home with her and it's the best decision we've made as parents.

First off, I was a legal secretary doing the work of 5 people by myself, doing paralegal work and handling the attorneys phone calls and documents. It was STRESSFUL. Secondly, I was only at 13/hr. I felt like I would be working literally just to pay for daycare or have maybe $500 left after paying for daycare which is absolutely ridiculous.

We sacrificed a lot by having me stay home (it's tough with budgeting, etc.) but I can't imagine it any other way. I'm a realtor now so I work whenever and can take her with me when I work. So me staying home and the sacrifices and struggles we went through worked out for us, it was a blessing because now I make way more than I ever would have at that hellhole. And I guarantee if I didn't quit I'd still be there.

I got a little off topic lol. You might actually like your job so it might be more tough to just quit. But you'll figure out what's best for you. You might decide to go back and then later decide to quit and stay home after a little while.

Go on maternity leave and then decide if you should or shouldn't go back. You have time! ?
