Crib... What is everyone's thoughts on convertible cribs? I'm hearing mixed reviews and getting overwhelmed.

I feel like ALL these decisions are overwhelming! (Also I'm no help! Hah)

We got one. But now that my daughter is getting older (she turns two next month) we just want to get her a new bed. The convertible crib we got doesn't convert into a toddler bed, it's weird, unless I haven't figured it out for some reason.

We're just buying her a new bed, I'm over the crib lol

I agree with the overwhelming part. I'm a worried wart to begin with.

For my first I bought a cot-bed which converts. I wish I hadn't. She's far more comfortable in a larger, single bed than the cot-bed. If I could go back I'd have got a cheaper cot for the first 18 months then a lovely single bed x

We got one for my 8 year old... he never slept in it as a crib. Once we converted it, (around 4 years old) he slept in it. It turned into a nice full size bed. Worth the money for sure! ??

I had one for my first kid. It was a crib, then we used it as a toddler bed for about 6 months. My daughter is way over average for height (I'm 5'7" and she comes up to my chest at 5 years old) so the toddler bed didn't last her long. It converted to a full but that was too big for her and my brother needed a crib so we got her a twin and gave it to him. They used it as a crib. Then converted it to a toddler bed which they are still using and his son turns 3 in 3 weeks.

It wasn't necessary for us. I bought it with our first. She used it as crib until she was almost 2. Then I converted it to a toddler bed. But we got her a big kid bed when she was 2.5 because we had our second and gave him the crib. The same thing happened with my second. We'll get him a bed so we can use the crib with our third. They chewed on the sides of the crib. So it won't look nice converted as a twin bed anyways. If I knew then what I know now, I would skip it.

I like ours, if you do get one make sure you get the converter kit that comes with it!
