One year I got my kids teachers a tumbler and they said 'I teach whats your superpower' and they had a lil cape on them ... I've done hand made scarves.. Lots of gift cards, coffee cups with tea .. Sugar hand scrubs .. Note pads, homemade cookies , I've gotten these plastic things in the shape of an apple that had lil drawers on it that you put like paperclips or small things like that in it...
When I was a TA one of my students gave me a pencil box with “Mrs *******” on it (my name) I just about lost my mind. I love it and still have it 8 years later! It was so personal.
Honestly, any gift big or small makes our day. One of my students came to school and gave me a Halloween themed lollipop and I have it on my desk. So sweet of him to think of me especially since this year has been one of my toughest!
Another kid bought me a mason jar with my name and a cute note on the inside. So sweet.
Another kid gave me a snow globe for Halloween and I put it at our entrance into our classroom.
One kid came in with a big container of disinfectant wipes and let me tell you, I TRULY appreciated it :)
I’ve gotten gift cards of all types. Flowers and candies and homemade items with my name on it. I’ve loved every single thing I’ve ever gotten and I save them all :).

Also as far as a gift card I think $10, $15 or $20 is fine and you definitely can't go wrong with a target gift card.
