I buy the Walmart brand stuff, formula, diapers and wipes. It is half the cost. I was researching who really makes all this stuff today and it is the same company that makes target brand, babies r us brand, Walgreens brand and several others. Just different packaging. Plus there are so many regulations on formula that store brand versus big brand are basically the same.
Please watch out for the ingredient 'palm olien oil' in formula milk. Studies have shown that babies who drink formula milk containing this ingredient have less bone density to those who don't.
Not sure where your from or if you have a COSTCO near by, but they make diapers "Kirkland" brand that have the wet strip and I just about like them more than pampers swaddlers and they are SO much cheaper!!
I switched from enfamil to the up and up brand this week. Micah did great with his transition. I like how big the tubs are. I don't get wic so this definitely helps save money. I stock up when target does the buy 2, get a 10 dollar gc lol. 2 tubs for 50 basically plus cartwheel usually gives an extra 5 percent off
I have been using up and up formula since my 12w daughter was born. I also used it with my older daughter and it has worked great for both of them! Also target is having a huge sale on baby stuff right now and I bought 18 cans for $9 each! The cans I get are smaller (26oz) than the one in the above pic...
She's doing ok with the switch but having some diarrhea, and more yellowish..but she seems to be taking it down more easy than the actual similac advanced powder. The ingredients are almost identical the texture may be slightly different but she seems to like it better. I'm assuming when she adjusts to it her bowels will be normal again, only on day 2.
I'm going to stick with the pampers swaddlers diapers for now but when she moves up to a size 2 and gets done the box we already have we are going to try making the switch to up and up. I'm not ready just yet. I just love them. But we love target and have a target card so it will benefit us greatly!!
We use Vermont Infant Organic Formula. You can get that at Costco or on Amazon. We have tried every single formula and this is the only one that works with her. She is never fussy or gassy (seriously never) and her poops are 100% solid, so we don't have to worry about blowouts.
