I'm also constantly hot and my boyfriend checked me for a fever and I apparently don't have one. My guess it's the hormones changing our bodies but idk. I took the same test yesterday and I don't know the results. Maybe I'm also testing positive.

I've been going back and fourth with chills and hot flashes as well for the past week (37 weeks tomorrow!) I'm negative for group b strep, I doubt that it has anything to do with your gbs. It generally causes no symptoms and you only find out about it during pregnancy. But as long as your water isn't broken baby is safe from harm and you shouldn't need antibiotics now. Especially since your body can become immune to antibiotics, you should save them for when you go into labor.

Being positive for GBS wouldn't cause an active infection. It is a normal gut flora that just migrated to your nether regions. It's possible you're just having hot flashes.

I called my doctor and she told me it's because of the GBS thank you tho.

Turtledip is correct! If your Dr told you you're feeling the way you are because of an active gbs infection and didn't bring you in for blood tests or a spinal tap, I'd be looking for another Dr. Being colonized with group b strep is completely different than having a gbs infection (sepsis, pneumonia, soft tissue and skin infections)

Hmmm... I didn't know that I'll ask her some more and get a second opinion also thank you I wasn't trying to be rude @turledip I'm sorry if it was taken that way...thank you both I'll be looking deeper into the GBS and my symptoms.

I have GBS and constantly having hot flashes/chills etc but was having them long before I was tested positive for GBS. Its the joys of pregnancy unless you do have something else wrong but definitely get a second opinion every doctor/midwife should know GBS don't have any shown side effects, apart from when you have swab/urine tested. If that makes sense lol x

No worries mamma. Didn't take any offense. I Didn't even see this reply lol. The GBS doesn't become active unless it enters your body somewhere other than where it originated.

Ok good I re read what I said and I took offence lol and ok it does make me feel better for sure I've also been having hot flashes since the begining
