I use to breed pedigree cats and one of them needed a cesarean with her 9 kittens

She birthed 3 but one got stuck all kittens survived somehow and she was such a good mumma but she would pick at her scar and my other cat fostered her kittens for her but she didn't like it

I use to hold her in my arms like a baby and pat her chest down toward her scar as it was healed it stopped her from picking at it and calmed her from interrupting her kittens feeding from my other cat

I guess when she felt that urge she just came to me after she got use to it because she would jump on my lap and rub herself around trying to get my hand on her stomach by grabbing it with her paws.

If she is accepting maybe try it

Don't touch the scar straight away get her use to the patting first if she's new to your home

Then within a week you can work the patting toward her scar closer each day

She may never like it but mine did. Maybe she would like just a cuddle to distract her instead

I had a cesarean and the scar can be very itchy or even just annoying at times like twinges etc

She might want to scratch it and not figured out how

We live in a one bedroom with our son our dog and our cat. We gave our son the bedroom so that he can have a room for himself we sleep in the living-room on a bed we lay against the wall everyday its very crammed here. But it means closer family. Our dog and cat and son both end up on the bed by the end of the night.
