Thank you ladies.

You make me think i dont have a spinal headache, but some thing else is causing it.

Mine is not debilitating by any means. Just really really annoying and enough to make me emotional.

I got some caffeine and vicodin, getting ready to nap.

Ask them about it and do not be silent. I will never have another spinal. I had one with my daughter and turned out they put too big of a whole in my spine and my spinal fluid was leaking which was causing my brain to sag. I couldn't stand up without crying and the nurses couldn't turn a light on without it hurting. Eventually they had me leaning all the way back in my bed with my head tilted toward the floor. The anesthesiologist came in and told me they would need to do a blood block. Which is essentially another spinal but they placed blood from my arm in to fill the whole. After a few hours I was another person. No more debilitating headache. My ob spoke up for me because she saw the pain. If that migraine keeps up just be sure to tell them and ask what's going on with it. The nurses kept telling me it was normal until one walked in and I was bawling holding my head.

Well headaches in general make me ill in other ways. I get nauseous and tummy troubles.

With the spinal it was that times ten. Bad migraine in the front of my head and it made standing difficult. The vomiting was so bad I got dehydrated. They weren't coming up with a plan to fix it so I had to take medicine I didn't want to. It was still safe for breastfeeding but being that I didn't tear and was otherwise fine I probably wouldn't have needed anything.

The worst part was that although I made an effort to enjoy my new baby I didn't get much chance to since I was literally curled into a ball of pain most of the time.

I had to go back to the hospital for a blood patch.

My advice is to not leave the hospital without the blood patch! It fixed it and after a few hours of rest I felt better and just had to recover normally. And drink caffiene.

Good luck!
