As I've said a few times previously, I do in home day care. I watch a not quite 3 month old, once a week.

My goodness. Is the mother very young or uneducated? Print out some information for her.
Poor baby!

Hey! I run a day home & sometimes it is our place to correct parents... When it comes to the welfare & safe being of the child, we do have to say something. Mom may not like it, but the child comes first. I'd print off some info, or get info from a dr that you can give her.
Good luck!

Print out info from WHO, AAP, or if you live outside the US whatever pediatrics association is the most respected.

She's around 26, I think, and has a 5 year old also. So she's not young or on her first child.
I'm pretty sure her doctor is the one who told her to start solids, so I doubt she would take my word over her doctors, but I also doubt the doc told her it should be his main diet.
This mom is one I believe will pull her kids if I say anything, and potentially bad mouth me to other potential clients.
I do mostly bottles when he's here, bc he just doesn't eat the solids well for me. He still pushes most of it out of his mouth.
She doesn't seem to mind that i practically skip solids, tho lol

Eats mostly food? My daughter had nothing but milk till 6 months and then for 2 weeks only had her eat food once a day to get her stomach use to it and then finally got up to 3 meals but she still had 4-5 bottles a day! wtf!?

Thats good to hear OP.

It's frustrating to me, bc I don't entirely feel it's my place to correct her, but I don't want to see the boy suffer either.
He was here for almost 8 hours, and had several bottles and food twice, but the food was a struggle.
And he was trying so hard to poop, but couldn't. :((

Yes you can educate her ad give her handout on it too.
Also, you can stand your ground and remind her that since they aren't supposed to eat solids yet you can't give it tithe baby. Only milk until x age and milk always before solids.
That's terrible that these parents continue to just do whatever is easiest for them.
The baby who eventually becomes an adult ends up paying ALL the price for the rest of their life all because "it's my kid I'll do what I want".
Daycares are supposed to adhere to a certain standard. I remember as a dc teacher we told the parents we weren't allowed to even give foods until 6 months old. And never foods in bottles. No matter what the parent wanted, said or asked for.

If he's still pushing most of the food out of his mouth it's a pretty clear sign he isn't ready for it yet. Three words 'tongue thrust reflex'. I can't believe the doctors are advocating solids at such a young age. I'd be changing doctors if they told me that.
