RAVE!!! This is what the world needs more of

I have never and do not know anyone that would forget their baby in their car. Sorry but the thought of it baffles me.

^ I agree, but according to a post from the other night a lot of people on here think it could easily happen. I can't fathom it though.

It's easy to say "It would never happen to me."

I don't think I would ever make that mistake, but truth is, no one knows how it happens, until it's happening to them.

Do you realize how sleep deprived parents are? Especially when some parents have to go back to work only a month after baby is born. I would like to think that I would never be capable of this of but its too easy to happen. A change in routine and a rear facing sleeping baby is all it could take when we as parents are overworked and over tired. Take precautions instead of just insisting that it could never happen to you.

I see this being a lot less likely with sahm, than with working parents.

I have never forgotten my kids in a car, but can easily see how is done.

Say you work in a factory, and they have mandatory overtime. So you are working 12 hour shifts, 6 to 7 days a week. You come home at 7pm, eat dinner, spend time with the kids, shower, get the kids ready for and to bed, and take an hour to yourself. You're looking at 10 probably 11 pm before going to bed. To get up at approximately 530 am and do it all over again. For weeks on end, in a factory where it gets over 100 degrees and you're doing manual labor.

Say your husband normally takes baby to daycare, but he had to be out of town even earlier so it made more sense for you to take the baby to daycare today, after 2 months straight of it being hubby's job.

You get everything loaded up, and get in the car, turn on the radio, stop and get a coffee and head on to work.

Most people are on autopilot at this point. It's a break in a very monotonous routine. It would throw the most conscientious parent for a loop. It doesnt mean they are a bad parent, just exhausted.

And that's just one example.

I wish more people would think proactively instead of thinking "That could never be me." Yes, yes it could be. You. Just. Don't. Know.

I'm pretty sure 90% of the parents who've left their baby in a car though it would never happen to them and couldn't wrap their mind around how someone could do that...and now look where they are at..I like that someone is trying to come up with a solution to possibly prevent the unfathomable from happening.

I went back to work when my 1st was 4 months old, working from 7-7 and living an hour away. He also didn't sleep well and would wake up constantly in the night. Trust me I was running on auto pilot. I forgot other things like wipes, forgot to post letters, forgot to make dinner. It was the worst thing being sleep deprived but I never once forgot that I had my baby, or left him in the car. We've all got our lives, some of us work and some of us don't. But leaving a baby in a hot car? For hours? Because you were on autopilot is not excuse in my books. I know it wouldn't happen to me because I spent 9 months carrying a human life and caring for it,so I always have that thought in the back of my mind. Call me a helicopter parent I don't mind. I don't understand how you can forget a baby. And yes I do realise how sleep deprived parents are. As I was one. This just seems like another way for a company to make money

So basically, you are saying bc you don't understand how it could happen, this company is trying to rip people off? That makes no sense.

It clearly is a real issue and this company has come up with a solution that's good all the way around.

Of course they are in it for the money, tho, they are a business. But at least this is a solution to a problem.

It does make sense, I have my own opinion and everyone else can have theirs :)
