My almost 5 yr old started headstart just 2 weeks ago, and I've seen a huge change in his attitude. He's been very disrespectful, he tries demanding his father and I to do things (we don't do it), he's very mean to Zaeden. He's so very rude, and I don't like it at all! I don't know what to do, besides putting him in time out AFTER I try talking to him. I know he's picking this up from school, and I'm just stuck on how too redirect him. Also, he has not been eating his lunch that they serve him at school, he refuses too.

When dd started preschool she was acting out for the first month or two at home but they said she was fine at school. I think it’s a combo of picking up other kids behavior and exhaustion because they’ve started school for the first time ever. I started putting her to bed earlier (she goes to sleep at 7 and wakes up around 7:30 for school) I also think letting them know their behavior makes you sad and you expect more from them (even if kids in their class act like that) I think that really helped for me. Limiting tv time at home, having a consistent bedtime routine etc has helped us too.
