Ugh, that's awful! Invest in a menstrual cup, and ask your doctor if you're a candidate for endometrial ablation. If you know you're done making babies, it might work very well for you.

Will my age come into factor? I'm 21, and I want more babies but not for years later. This has been going on for 2 going on 3 months. ?? I had an ultrasound almost 2 weeks. They said the lining of my uterus is thickened and recommend a hormonal birth control. But who's to say that it stop my bleeding? I'm taking a hormone medication right now and it only stopped my bleeding for 3 days and now it's heavier than it was.

Oh no, you won't be able to get it if you still plan on having babies. Sorry. A hysterectomy won't work either, obviously. I hope you find some other way to get a handle on the excessive bleeding!

I've actually heard a lot of women say that their period changed after switching to the cup. Like flow got lighter and cramps subsided a lot. It might be worth it:)

The birth control deffinatly helped with my contant bleeding, it just takes a while for it to take effect

After This c section my periods have just been horrendous . I get a period every 6 weeks and it's stupid horrible

I've had the same problem since having my son 2 years ago. But I do know birth control pills help a lot. It's the only other thing that does. I'm already dreading getting it back after I give birth. Some days I have 2 days at a time where I can't even leave the house it's that bad

@taco I LOLed at your comment. ? this doesn't call for a trigger warning. Or at least to me it doesn't. What I do with my uterus, should have no affect on anyone but me and my SO.

That is extreme bleeding ? poor baby I'm sorry. I felt that way after i got my iud my bleeding sucked for about 3 to 4 months.. But now it's regulated, light and easy to deal with. Maybe look into that?
