I think the fact that you HAVEN'T given up shows that you are a great mum. All parents go through stages of feeling that they just aren't doing enough etc but they do pass and then something else comes up that may bring them right back. it happens, don't beat yourself up over it. Just have a cry, a vent and let it all out and know it will get better.
You don't suck at being a mum. Being a mum is a constant learning curve. Even now 24 years after having my first i'm still learning things and going "oooh, so that's what it is" or "ooh, I so could have done that better years ago". Always learning and getting a bit better at it.
I feel so guilty getting frustrated. ? I think he might have colic. Around 11 every single night, he cries out, it never fails. Doesn't want to eat, doesn't want to be burped, doesn't want his binky, and his diaper is also clean. It takes him about 15-20 min to calm down and eventually he takes his binky and goes to sleep. Except for last night... It took about an hour for him to calm down. He burped, he got changed, I offered him his bottle and binky, but didn't want it til the very end. I don't know what to look for or the signs of colic? So if I had to guess, I'd say he does. I try my best and my damn hardest but sometimes I feel like it's not good enough ??? I never had experienced this with my 4 year old so it's like being a first time mom all over again.
Could he have reflux? My son wasn't a super fussy baby, but there were a few nights he was just inconsolable, and it turns out it's because he had reflux that just made him miserable. I spoke to his pedi and they gave him baby Zantac, and it was night and day. Good luck mama! Hearing our LO cry is so hard, but I truly believe they know we're doing our best to help them. It'll get easier!
If it's only an hour I would be sure he doesn't have gas maybe it builds up over the course of the day?
For me he colic was crying hours and hours inconsolable it would be from shortly after bed time often until morning they would sleep for 15-20 mins here and there in this time . I brought them to many Drs hoping for answers but nothing .

Does your child possibly have colic as in true colic ?
It is very difficult at first and your body takes
Some time to adjust to the new lack of sleep , the amount of patience it takes to deal with listening to a baby that crys constantly ect .
Try to rest while you can and know that your not a bad parent it happens I think the video they show at the hospital for us is called crying blue.
I have had 3 colic babies and I'm expecting my fourth to be tbh so I understand how overwhelming it can become !
Your doing a great job just hang in there it does get easier
