Some doctors will ask if you want one, especially since you're so close! But if not, just ask and they should have no issue doing it. Also, like pp said - it's a little uncomfortable but not painful!

I think it depends on pain tolerance. It was more than uncomfortable for me. It hurt. But mostly everybody says it's uncomfortable, so maybe I just have a really low pain tolerance lol

I asked for one, it was uncomfortable and for me it made me start cramping immediately but no biggie.

Okay thank you for your input ladies! I never had one done with my first as I never dilated until I went into actual labor and that was at 40w&4d. I hope I don't go that long with this baby!

I have an appointment tomorrow and my due day will be 9 days away 26th.. is it too early to ask them to do one? What do you ladies think?

I don't they do them unless your dilated. But don't mark my words on that!

I asked and boy am I glad I did. It's how we found out my baby is footling breech. I can't imagine the panic or risks if I had gone into labor and gotten to the point of pushing without knowing.
