When did your kids learn
how to wash their body and hair on their own? My son is 3, turning 4 in February, and he knows the basics but doesn't fully get all of his body parts and hasn't really got the hang of washing his hair yet.. He bathes alone but I obviously attend to him while doing so and I wash his body and hair still. I know he is not old enough to bathe or shower withOUT** being attended too but I just want to know generally when your babies learned how to fully wash themselves.

Ah, glitch got me. Anyway dd was 5 ish when she was able to wash her body properly herself and about 7 when she no longer needed any help rinsing out shampoo/conditioner.

Dd was a little over 4 when she got the basics of washing her body, she is 5 fully washes her body and will somewhat wash her hair and want to independently however I have to rinse her hair.

My son just turned 4 and can wash himself, but not thoroughly enough. I let him do it on his own first, and then I go back and do it again to make sure he's actually clean. The same goes with our teeth brushing routine. He brushes first and then I go back and do it again just to be sure.

I would say around 5 but you still need to be on them to do it properly or they spend the whole time just washing their belly! Hair a little older again, especially if they are not using kids 2 in 1.

My son was 4 when he started trying and now he's 5 and really good at it.

My son started showering completely unassisted by age 7. Before that I would still make sure he scrubbed properly and help him rinse.

My oldest will be 4 in December and he washes himself. He's been doing for quite awhile now. But he's always been one that caught onto things quickly and loves being independent.
My youngest is 2 in January and he is no were close to being able to. I assume I'm going to be helping him for a long time yet.

3 to 4 years. By 6 they have getting all the soap out down.

My daughter is 7 and is just getting the hang of washing and conditioning her own hair. But it is very long so it's hard to do herself. Really I just let it be, if she gets it clean good, if there's still conditioner left in it, fine.

My daughter is 20 months and can wash herself. I wash her butt and privates and hair but she knows how to wash everything else, even her armpits , neck , and feet ..... but now I feel like that isn't normal since everyone is saying 3-4 ?

My oldest is 6 and showers by herself. I go in to make sure she has her hair rinsed and only once it a while she'll need help getting all the conditioner out. (But that's only when she uses my shampoo and conditioner which is thicker and harder to rinse out than her kids stuff)
