Why Is My Toddler Suddenly Afraid of the Dark?
Help me ?
Many of you ladies already know I have a 3 year old toddler. He has never been afraid of the dark nor ever woken up out of his sleep. But now it seems that he's scared and always turns the light on and cries and says he is scared... Now have any of your babies not been afraid of the dark and than went through a phase of being scared? My mind is running out of ideas and I am clueless how to get him too sleep fully through the night again. I tried melatonin, warm baths, reading with him.. Any other ideas that I can possibly try? ?

Night lights are great as they are safe to leave on all night. They also give enough light for him to see everything in the room but not too bright that it will take from his sleep. Hope this helps x

I had one but only used it a couple of times cause he would just stay up and stare it at night so we stopped using it and he would sleep perfectly fine but I'm going to try using it tomorrow night and see if it helps.

Maybe he saw a scary movie or someone scared him night lights or move his bed to ur room ! And kids can see ghost not scare u but FYI!? pray with him at night and tell him when he feels scared to ask god to help him not be scared and rebuke any evil!!

Tell him that when he wakes up and is afraid to ask God to take all the scary things away it worked for my cousin when I would babysit here over night and eventually she got to the point where she knew god would take the scary things away and she'd fall right to sleep or when she was at my house the mailboxes make shadows on the lawn and i would tell her that the shadows kept all the scary things away from the house so they couldn't come inside
