Just want to rant!
I'm so tired of not having a vehicle! I had a cute little Honda accord but the transmission blew right in the middle of the road. This happened in the beginning of JULY! I live up a huge hill that takes 20 minutes to just walk down, with no sidewalks. I'm just so tired of not being able to go or do anything for myself or my kids. I can't even take myself to my own doctors appointments. With tax season coming, we're using it to move away, so no money there for me. It's the middle of winter here and there's nothing to do. I can't take the kids in the front yard to play because other people in the building can't clean up after their massive dogs. I could drive like 15 minutes to the indoor park in the mall, but no. Dh has our only car and he needs it for work, plus it's a manual. Now I'm not a genius or in any way capable of learning that skill. Just here venting and throwing a pity party, anyone care to join?

Same,,I had to sell my car before we moved, so we only have one car. I hate it. I always feel stuck.

It wouldn't be so bad if I could just walk somewhere with the kids. I absolutely hate living up on this hill. Plus the pizza guys always get lost.... currently waiting...

You're not a genius or in anyway capable of learning to drive a standard? It's not that hard, I'm sure you can do it. I hope you get something soon, my husband had to take my car for a few weeks and I was left stranded in the middle of nowhere, with two kids and it was awful.

I would def talk to your landlords about the other tenants cleaning up after their dogs. Tbh I would prob scoop the poop just to give me something to do and then the kids could play. I can't drive a manual car either lol I've tried and I suck.

My SO has been wanting to teach me how to drive his car, which is manual, just in case I ever need to drive his car, and I always refuse, because I'm scare it will turn off in the middle of the freeway or go backwards in a hill hahaha we should learn OP. It can't be that hard, just a lot of practice. I live in the middle of the city, but if you can practice around your house at night? It would be perfect, because you could take your husband to work and keep the car for your daily activities. I had to do that for a while with my SO. There is ALWAYS a way to make things work with the resources we have.

I'm such a dunce. There's too many buttons and pedals. I'd get so confused. My dh works for the landlord on one of his other buildings. So that means he'd have to do it. We're suppose to be moving in May so I shouldn't complain too much. I'm just worried about how I'm suppose to for three car seats in his car. He has a Subaru outback

First time DH tried to teach me how to drive a manual was in a closed down Kmart parking lot. I was doing ok, he told me to drive home. At the stop sign to get out of there I stalled it, someone was behind me & I got so anxious I started crying and made him drive home. The 2nd time was at his parents farm & there wasn't anyone around so I thought it would go better. We got in a huge fight because I didn't understand what he was trying to tell me do and he didn't know how else to explain. I got out of the stupid truck and walked the 1/2 mile through the field back to his parents house ? it's funny now but at the time I was genuinely REALLY mad. I'm glad I'm not the only one that just doesn't get it.

I love driving a manual car. We have a Honda SI and its so fun to drive. My first car was a manual ford focus and it was my baby ? I begged my dad to get me an automatic but he refused and made me learn.

I've been driving a manual transmission for over 20 years. I honestly won't drive an automatic if I can help it.
I'm sorry that some of you have such a hard time learning how to drive a manual. They are so much fun to drive!!!!

Also OP.. I drive a Ford focus and I can fit 3 of the Safety 1st guide 65 car seats in the back seat.
