Yes. Once you are high risk they consider you high risk the entire pregnancy.

Not necessarily. I was considered high risk with my second pregnancy due to recurrent miscarriage. I was only supposed to be monitored closely until my 2nd trimester- but then I got Fifth Disease which made me continue to be high risk(but is something that would have 0 bearing on future pregnancies, so would not have made me high risk for #3), then we found out he was a 2 vessel cord baby. So I continued to be high risk- which, again, would not make me so for future pregnancies.

Both of mine were preemies, so that in addition to recurrent miscarriage has made me high risk for the entirety of this one. Placenta and growth issues would have made me so if I didn't have my issues.

I am high risk because my husband and I are carriers for a genetic disorder. Our first daughter had it and we monitored that pregnancy very closely (we didn't know about the condition until after she was born)

With my second we were monitored closely for the first half but everything looked normal (no signs like with out first)and then had 1 extra u/s after 20 weeks to check and make sure everything still looked good, but I never saw the high risk doctors or anything the rest of the time.

Still high risk this time, but hopefully things look good again and the risk does down.

I am high risk bc of my age as well as the fact that I have a peri-partum cardiomyopathy, brought on by my prior pregnancy. 16 weeks today:)
