Diaper Rash from Teething?

My daughter definitely gets diaper rashes from teething. It sucks because it’s hard to get rid of it. It hasn’t gotten to bad yet I just keep putting on diaper cream and letting her air out once in a while

It could be Kinleigh was getting them but I brought her to the Dr and it was a yeast rash for that you need an antibiotic. If it's blistery looking I would definitely bring her in to get a cream

Yep Amanda, it's well known it happens. Millie has it on and off and she's teething like crazy at the moment. My big lads would have had it during teething too.

I remember my Mother saying to me when they teeth their wee becomes more acidic.

All you can do is change them regularly to avoid wee being in contact with the skin for too long. Use a barrier cream at each change, and put on a medicated cream as soon as you notice any irritation.

Blueberry, is A and D ointment a good barrier?

I'm not familiar with the brand, so I googled it and the blurb is "A&D Ointment is a diaper rash ointment and skin protectant". So it sounds as though it would be the right thing to use.

What I use doubles up as a barrier and protectant too, I know my own mum used it on us too. It's called Sudocrem. It's a little pot of magic :)

Jack had diaper rash once and I used A&D and it cleared it right up. I also had him in his birthday suit for a majority of the day. It cleared up in a few hours.

Parker will get a rash when teeth start to cut but it’s never like blisters. But it’s literally the only time he gets a rash. We use Desitin extra strength and I put it on with his diaper before bed and the rash is gone by the morning
