Getting Pregnant After Birth
Getting Pregnant After Birth
Soooo.....I thought I was gonna start my period...but it was just spotting old blood, for a few days. So I haven't started yet. Which makes it very difficult to know when or if I'm ovulating! We arent using birth control. Which might be stupid. But can you even ovulate if you're not having periods?! How does that work? I heard you're very fertile after a baby, I also heard its 99% chance u can't get pregnant if breastfeeding too.

My OB said at my 7 week PP checkup that breastfeeding covered me for 3 months.

You can absolutely get pregnant while breastfeeding. My SIL got pregnant when my niece was 6 months old.

I have some ovulation strips left from last time. Took one yesterday and it was so negative lol not even a faint line!

You ovulate before your period. So you would ovulate before you got your first pp period.

You absolutely ovulate before your period comes, and can get pregnant while breastfeeding. That's how Irish twins happen.

It's possible to get pregnant while breastfeeding but pretty rare when baby is under 6 months old. The reason being you are nursing so much until 6 months that your body doesn't ovulate until you start nursing much less.

I fell pregnant when my daughter was 4 months old and was ebf and still feeding nights. It's very possible! There's only 13 months between my first two so I was very quick to start bc again after #3
