we just made a cute saying requesting gift cards diapers and Wipes so that way people will hopefully not buy clothing and other things we already have if so well just take them back!

It can come across as a little rude to some people. It's a gift so really it's up to them to decide what they spend their money on. Cross your fingers and hope people stick to the registry and if they don't try to return the clothes or just enjoy them or return them.

We put a few clothing items on our registry, but mainly stuff we needed. (FTM as well) The only nb clothes we got at our shower was like 3 outfits and a couple sleepers. We put larger size clothes on the registry to try to avoid getting a bunch of nb too. Luckily my fiancé's father had a baby almost a year ago so we got some of his nb stuff so we do have a variety of clothing in case he comes small and fits in nb for a while.

Right, I'd just hate for them to spend their money on something we don't need. But oh well.

Depending on where you registered at as long as the items still have the tags on them you could either exchange them or get store credit, most stores let you do it. I returned a lot of the newborn clothing and got store credit and got other things I needed or you could save the store credit and buy them clothes when they're older.

A lot of people don't even look at the registry. I had about half bought off mine and the rest was random stuff people got. But I honestly got a lot of useful things. But again not everyone pays attention to the registry.

I've decided I'm going to lay out all the clothes we've bought, (which seriously, is a crap ton) and post the picture on Facebook (which everyone I'm inviting to my shower is on FB) with a caption of like, "we've gone overboard! Safe to say she doesn't need any more clothes!!" Lol and just hope my family gets the hint haha!!! ?? think this will be less rude?!'
