Birthing Videos?!!! I made the mistake of Youtubing birthing videos....oh boy. I'm a FTM sooooooo…

I do remember watching these before my first, as well as the often rec Business of Being Born & thinking to myself that pain meds sounded really great. And they were (for me!) I was fortunate to have relatively easy labors though with no tearing. But mentally had prepared for the worst. I will never be curious again lol

This is my 3rd pregnancy and my two older boys are not blood to my SO but that makes no difference so I made him watch one since he's never seen anything like that and he cried he said oh my god I feel bad I'm making you go through this and was like I'm gonna have anxiety lol it was cute but honestly videos of it always scares me myself lmaoo

It is an entirely different thing when it's your blood pumping and your adrenaline rush and your beautiful child crowning and your partner holding you and telling you it'll be OK and that you're amazing. You were built to do this, trust your body. You can give birth in a coma, if you freak out, focus on something, your body will take over. You can do it.

Watch a video with an epidural lol...much different

Lol it didn't make me nervous it made me emotional. I think I cried more at the you tube birth videos than at my own birth, but because I was so happy. Don't be afraid it's not that bad! It's all in your head, you can handle it!

I could definitely tell which ones had an epidural!!!

I feel like those videos scared me at first but kind of prepared me for birth. Although you will not know how strong your pain will be since everyone has different tolerance to pain.

The epidural video is not as bad as it seems. As it doesn't hurt since the contraction pain is much worse. (I never saw a video of the epidural until a couple weeks ago) 3 years after delivering my first child. The video seems extremely painful but I don't remember feeling anything but a pinch

I refuse to watch them! My cousin invited me to be in the room with her while she had her boy. I declined. I don't want to know!!
