Freaking Out!!

Soooo...,this evening I started feeling pretty sick. Nauseous. Sick to my stomach, along with a headache. Didn't feel normal, that's for sure! I come home from work and lay in bed for 2 hours, and then immediately jump out of bed, and run to the bathroom to throw up!! I feel hot and cold, and I'm sick. Threw up twice already in the last half hour. I'm almost 19 weeks and not ONCE during this pregnancy have I thrown up. This isn't pregnancy sickness. I'm not sure what to do. I think it's something I ate earlier. Could be a bug??

Thanks for the tips everyone!! I think it was like a 12 hour sickness. Pretty sure the baby was not having what I was eating that day!! Jambalaya....lol all is good, chest is really sore from throwing up and using all those muscles. Never did talk to my dr. They were out of the office when I called yesterday!!! But thanks everyone!!!

I feel for you! I had this all weekend and it was terrible. Took me 4 days to get over it and I lost 4lbs! Not what I wanted to do at 14 weeks. OB doctor gave me some meds to help with being nauseous and so far so good! Feel better

There is some vomiting gastrointestinal illness going around my work right now. You may have contracted something. Call OB office in the am and let them advise on what to do. If really bad go to the ER.

Hope you're feeling better!

Ugh. Vomiting AND diahreea (ugh spelling sucks on that lol) it's terrible!! Luckily though, I was able to take a Tylenol without worries of it coming back up. Any fever I may have had is gone, I believe. No more vomiting just...#2. Trying to rehydrate and gonna be in bed all day. Ugh. This is miserable!!

I have the stomach bug that's going round and I'm 32 weeks 3 days. I feel your pain! Just make sure to stay hydrated cuz it can cause contractions if you become dehydrated!

U should go out or send someone to go out and get u a thermometer. U will need one once baby is born anyway. Really, the only risk to baby is dehydration or a high fever. My dr said not to worry about anything under 102. I personally let lower fevers run their course, since they provide an important role for ur immune system. Ur body, ur choice. Good luck! Try making some warm water with honey and ginger. Often that will stay down better. Slowly sip it.

I can't keep water down :(

I have some Tylenol to reduce fever, but I haven't taken any yet cuz I'm afraid I'll throw it up...not exactly sure what my temp is I don't have thermometer. But I'm having chills.

I was planning on calling dr tomorrow.

As pp said, a big thing is making sure u stay hydrated, but u also need to keep an eye on your body temperature. Are u running a fever? High fevers are not good to have during pregnancy so if your temp is 100 or higher, you should go to the hospital. If it's normal or just slightly elevated, it can probably wait until morning, but u definitely should call your ob first thing.

I had food poisoning around 18w. It shouldn't hurt baby at all, just drink lots of water and try and get some sleep. My doctor told me if I had severe stomach cramps then to go to the emergency room. Otherwise you should be fine and it will pass

Stay hydrated and get some rest.

Flu will present itself usually with body aching. If you just have a bug or food poisoning, you just need to stay hydrated.

Not always, but if you're still getting sick tomorrow I'd definitely call the dr

I just thought that something like the flu is VERY bad for pregnant women. That's why I'm freaking out.

I dunno about pregnancy sickness. I just got sick AGAIN! Doesn't that usually happen once and then ur fine?

This could technically be pregnancy sickness. I'm 25 weeks today and I very rarely get sick but it does happen still.

Calm down! You're probably just sick! If it continues tomorrow I would call your doctor .
