Just feel so sad all the time

Just feel so sad all the time

I know no one wants to hear about my stupid problems but i literally have no where else to turn. My husband is still in hospital with gillian barren syndrome and is not improving and i just feel so alone. Once my son goes to bed i just feel like a spare part not knowing what to do. Im 17+3 with ky second baby and i dont even feel pregnant because i dont have time to process it. I only got married in October and found out i was expecting 2 days after my wedding. This is supposed to be one of the happiest times of my life and i just feel so sad all the time. Sorry for the moaning post.

Hey it’s ok to feel the way you do and if letting it out helps here do so. Stop feeling guilty - you’ve nothing to feel guilty about. You’re a newly wed trapped in a horrible situation.

Do you have any girlie friends who would want to share a cuppa in the evening? Have a natter and let you cry/scream/shout etc.

Do you get sick pay? If so get signed off and take some time out just to gather your thoughts. At the moment it’s a long slow road for your husband, but something will change and when it does he’ll surprise you and be home where he wants to be.

You’re a strong woman you can get through this and your new baby will be the new start he needs to get him fighting for recovery xx

He gets sick pay from work yeah but we dont know how much he is entitled too. I do have girl friends but they all have children of their own the same age as my andrew so its hard for them to get away on a night time. Im just feeling lonely. You live with somone for so long you get so used to having them there and when they are suddenly gone its like a part of you is gone too. I have no idea when he is coming home as he still cant feel his legs or walk or even stand up on his own. Its just so frustrating not having a time line i can look forward to. At the minuet we have nothing to cling to for positivity with his recovery as its just no change

You are doing amazing and if you need a little moan do not feel guilty about it. I don’t know how you’re feeling and would never claim too but my husband works offshore so I sit in by myself every night. I have a friend who has a baby a little older than Hamish and her OH works offshore too so she is in the same position as me. When one of the men are home we tend to visit each other at about 8.30-9 when babies are in their bed and it keeps our sanity! We tend to stay up too late as it’s like a little taste of freedom but it’s only one day every 1-2 weeks. Would any of your friends do this? I know my situation isn’t the same you have lots of other stressors. I do think you are doing amazing
