I only had a natural birth, but my mum has had both! I asked her the same thing not too long ago, and she said she’d go with the section any day! Neither were easy for her, my sister was 12 days late, and she had 3rd degree tears and with me she had an emergency section, and she had a bad reaction to penicillin and was in hospital for ages after!
Personally, if you found having a section the first time good for you then I’d go with that. At least you’ll know a date, and know what to expect in terms of healing etc!x
Iv went natural then emergncy section then a sucesful vbac honestly my vbac was probs the best labour and birth for me. Im due my 4th in a few weeks and have to decide wether to go section or natural again all depends on what u feel is best for me theres a lot of risks to go natural again this time round so section would b my best option but take your time to think about it dont rush ur choice
As for recovery my section was an easy recovery and so were both my natural births
I tried for a VBAC but they wanted to induce me at 41 weeks due to reduced movement. Due to previous experiences with my first I refused induction and opted for repeat section. Easy recovery and to be honest I was terrified of the thought of giving birth naturally after my first Labour.
I had a planned csec, it was an amazing experience.
I was put to sleep for a previous emergency csec.
The nurses are so calm and talk/joke with you, I apologised for not being able to shave properly ?. They even had a radio on to keep me calm. And still let my hubby cut the cord and take pics etc and had plenty of skin to skin time. The recovery was so much easier too, even with 2 small children already at home the recovery went really well. I was out and about in no time at all. Xx

I've had both. First was natural, second planned section.
I want to help advise you, but honestly now I'm thinking about it - I've no idea what I'd choose. Pros/Cons to both ??♀️

Went for a vbac with my second, but induction failed so ended up in a section.
Both times have been good recovery times, was doing the school run by day 5 pp.
The only thing i found hard was not being able to do much with my oldest like picking him up etc

I had an emergency c section with my first but my second the hospital encouraged me to have a Vbac and was so much easier also had vbac with my 3rd
