So andrew had his surgery for his hyperspadias correction in October and when he got his dressing taken off his willy was BLACK!!! And was oozing and just plain nasty. I knew something wasn't right but his surgeon was happy with it and said it would heal. Well we went back for a checkup now its all healed and turns out the black part was the new skin they attached it had died and since fallen off So basically the surgery was completely unsuccessful and he now needs at least 2 more including skin grafts to correct the damage and to move his pee whole again because it is still near his balls. Feeling really upset with it as i thought everything had been fixed!! But now we have to gear ourselves up for more surgeries and if these dont work they are leaving it till he is much older before they try again !!! :( sorry for the long post. Just needed to get it out of my system

Bless you. Hopefully the next operation is a success. It's so hard on you and I can't imagine where you are. But take it a step at a time and hopefully the next operation will be a big surprise xx

Aw that's awful. Why can't they do it while he's younger so he doesn't realise as much x

They are hun they are going to do it end of april may time. But if it fails again like it did the first time. They want to wait till he is older so he can grow more and have more skin to work with xx
