Bepanthan is oily I'm sure I used it on a tattoo. Sudocrem can be drying.

I prefer bepanthem personally x

Bethany got horrendous nappy rash on Wednesday - 2 lots of bepanthen later and there was no change in it, one lot of sudocrem and it started calming down.

Well for some reason yesterday morning Andrew woke up with major nappy rash I put sudocrem on all day and stopped using baby wipes and just used cotton wool and water and it still is so angry red this morning so I'm going into berpanthen today to see if it makes a difference xx

Agreed metatanium is the one x

Thanks ladies will nip to the shops in a bit and give that a try :) xx

If you get metanium make sure it's the yellow one you get not the white everyday cream. Xx

I found neither sudocrem bepentham or metanium made a blind bit of difference so I tried Johnson nappy cream, was better with in 24 hours! X

Both have lanolin In so if baby is allergic to one, will prob be allergic to the other, just something to watch out for cos it's more common than people realise. I'm allergic to lanolin so will be looking for a lanolin free alternative when my lo arrives, otherwise it will be rubber gloves for every nappy change!

I use sudocrem on scratches and other little marks like dry patches I also put sudocrem on every night before bed as he sleeps 12-13 hours in thst nappy so it's a bit of protection. If he gets sore I use metanium (the yellow one) and it's healed within a couple of nappy changes x
