So fed up Well 2nd sweep done midwife said she can fit 2 fingers inside my cervix and its soft but…

The thickness means baby is happy in there! However mine was still thick when my labour naturally started - just meant earlier contractions went on a bit longer. Still from first twinge to final push was only 14 hours! Only painful for the last 25 mins! Hopefully won't be long now x

I'm pretty sure 2fingers is like 4cm? But maybe in wrong x

Oh wow really I was so disheartened when she said my cervix was still thick but if 2 fingers means 4cm then that's amazing I have another sweep on Wednesday which will be my 3rd and if that fails it will be induction which I really don't want so fingers crossed ladies xx

I was threatened with induction for my boys and twice they appeared the night before. The worry of it can bring it on apparently. My daughter was more stubborn and tbh being induced wasn't as bad as I thought. They started me at 12 with a pessary by 3 I was 4cm dilated from nothing - so you're way ahead already ?
