Do any of you ladies actually know what this means I forgot to ask at my 24 week midwife appointment…

That the placenta is at the back at the top I think x

Does the position of the placenta determine how easy is it to come away after birth ?? X

Aww good I wasent worried about it or anything I was just curious what it meant as this is my first pregnancy and I didn't know if the position of the placenta determines how easy it comes away after birth x

I'm not sure it really matters tbh unless it's lying low across your cervix. Mine was at the front x

Ahh right okay it's just cause I was speaking to my mam and she said her placenta didn't come away at all and she needed to go get it removed surgically and I was just wondering if there was a certain position that makes it harder for it to come away x

It's not about it coming away after, it's to make sure the placenta isn't covering your cervix as that may result in a c section if it didn't move out of the way x
